Travel Abroad Policy
For faculty, staff and students who are not participating on programs that are organized and vetted through either the Study Abroad Office or Mercer on Mission but who are traveling abroad on official University business with prior approval from a University official should register that travel at least one week in advance of the departure date.
Registered faculty, staff, and students will be contacted by the Study Abroad Office for consultation regarding safety and security abroad.
All registered University community members will have access to the University’s emergency assistance program and will receive the benefit of services provided by On Call International.
Faculty and staff who do not register their travel risk denial of financial reimbursement requests.
